CFO | The 40m to £100m ARR Journey | SaaS | South West London / Hybrid (3 days)
The Client
A c.£40 million ARR SaaS business that has doubled revenue every year for three years and now employs close to 200 people, chasing £50-60 million ARR within the next twelve months. This CFO seat exists because the board wants someone who can own that next leg of growth as a genuine strategic partner, not just report on it.
The Role
This is a chance to build the function fresh. Reporting to the CEO, you will own finance, RevOps, legal and IT as one function, sit at the centre of board and investor conversations, and stay close enough to the business to know what is breaking and why. Priority one is elevating strong but stretched foundations to match triple-digit growth without losing pace or culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the financial narrative with the board and investors as the senior finance voice
- Build out FP&A and use ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV and cohort churn to drive decisions, not just report them
- Take ownership of finance, RevOps, legal and IT as one coherent function
- Lead a finance systems migration and the change management that comes with it
- Build a risk framework and decision-making discipline fit for this pace of growth
- Prepare for a future fundraise: data room, metrics narrative, investor diligence
Essential Experience
- Senior finance leadership (CFO or VP Finance) at a fast-growing SaaS business
- Genuine board and investor credibility as the financial lead, not a supporting voice
- Daily fluency in SaaS metrics: ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, cohort churn
- Hands-on operator, comfortable close to the detail as well as in the boardroom
- UK-based and able to commute to South West London 3 times per week
Desirable Experience
- Personally taken a business from c.£30-40m ARR through to double that
- Led fundraise preparation, equity or debt, including data room and investor diligence
- Comfortable owning functions beyond finance, or genuine appetite to take them on
Package
Salary: £240,000–£300,000 + bonus + significant equity
Location: South West London; 3 days per week in office
Start Date: ASAP / open to notice period
